Lori Carter thinks she has everything she wants. She has her dream job at a small fashion house, Taylor Made. Her boyfriend has finally agreed to move in together. Everything is going her way.
But still she feels like something is missing. On a trip to New York she finds that something in a one-night romantic encounter with a tall, dark stranger. She doesn’t get his name. He doesn’t get hers. And then in the morning he’s gone and Lori is left to wonder if her perfect life was really as perfect as she thought.
Returning to her old life in Los Angeles she tries to pick up where she left off. Thoughts of that night in New York still fill her mind, however, and now she doesn’t know if she should take what she had, or hold out for more.
And things really get complicated when the man from New York shows up again. Is good enough really good enough? Or should she try for more?
