I am taking time out to stop and smell the roses today. It’s a day of appreciation for me. I don’t do it often enough unfortunately. Do you?
I like to think about all the things I am thankful for. My wonderful life and my wonderful family, humans and furry family alike. I am thankful that my health has remained fairly stable and I am still able to produce entertaining stories. I think I would wither away if I couldn’t do that.
I live in a wonderful part of the world where the weather is pretty great all year around and even if I do complain about too much heat in the summer time I’m not sure I’d want to live anywhere else. What about you?
Now, to the point of this email. My day of appreciation wouldn’t be complete if I didn’t include all of the lovely, wonderful people who read my stories. You have no idea how much I appreciate each and every one of you. You’re the reason I write what I do – in fact, you’re the reason I write, period. Because if you didn’t read my stories they would just be languishing, locked away in a dark, lonely drawer somewhere like my very first attempts from many years ago are.
I appreciate every email, message, Facebook comment etc. that you send me. I know I am not the best at answering emails or comments but I promise I’m not ignoring you. I do read each and every one and appreciate each and every one. I try to spend as much time on Facebook as I possibly can also. But I like to spend most of my time writing. Because that is what produces the stories that you like to read. And I enjoy it so much. I love how the characters come to life inside my head. Except, of course, when I’m trying to sleep, lol.
Anyway I don’t want to take up too much of your time today but I just felt the inspiration to write this post and offer my appreciation to you.
